Throughout my two decades of medical experience, mental health and wellness have always been at the center of my approach. Over the past couple of years, I have led the creation of a national telepsychiatry program.
I received my medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania and completed my residency in Internal Medicine at New York University. I am board-certified in Internal Medicine and recently completed a Primary Care Psychiatry Fellowship at the University of California at Irvine. I received my B.A. in English from Columbia University.
I worked for two decades as an Assistant Professor at Stony Brook Medicine where I pioneered training in Lifestyle Medicine, shifting the paradigm of conventional medicine to address the root causes of disease.
I now focus almost exclusively on psychiatry. I embrace a holistic approach to mental health - considering relaxation, fun, nutrition, and movement as integral to a healthy and happy spirit. Additionally, I consider medication an important stepping stone to empowering my clients to live the lives they envision for themselves.
